Baden-Baden

This art guide aims to help understand the message of the architecture and art of the motorway church in Baden-Baden-Sandweier more easily and deeply. The church was built between 1976 and 1978 in the form of a tent and thus takes up the church image of the Second Vatican Council of the church as the „people of God on the road“. The painter and sculptor Emil Wachter, whose last work in the church was the St Christopher’s Stele created in 2004, was commissioned with the artistic design.
